Buckles Investment Services, the North Wales-based IFA has won a prestigious award, a Hallmark of Innovation, at this year’s Financial Innovation Awards dinner, held at London’s New Connaught rooms on 23rd November. The dinner was attended by over 600 financial service professionals.
Buckles’ successful graduate training and development programme won the prestigious award was for the most innovative training initiative or programme (skills). Up against very stiff competition in the form of well known high street names, including Barclays Bank, LloydsTSB and HSBC, Buckles’submission won unanimously.
Commenting on the decision, Chairman of the judging panel, Richard Lowrie, a distinguished figure in the banking world, said:
“Congratulations Buckles. There was unanimous appreciation of your graduate training and development programme and we were all delighted you achieved such success with recruitment, qualifications, retention and business developed.”
Nigel Speirs, Buckles’ Chief Executive, who was presented with the Hallmark of Innovation at the dinner, said:
“We are delighted that our achievement with the programme has been recognised at the highest level in the financial services world. For Buckles to take the lead over the multinationals that dominate our industry is truly remarkable and is something of which we should all feel very proud.
Currently, we have 18 graduates that have been through the programme, a further 15 at various stages on the programme and in the next 12 months we plan to recruit and train a further 12.”
