Further Acquisition for Buckles

Rhyl-based Buckles Investment Services Limited is continuing to expand and strengthen its position as the North West’s largest Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) with the acquisition of Wrexham-based IFA, Phillip Ridgway. The founder, Phillip Ridgway has taken the decision to pursue a new career and Buckles will take on his 300 clients in the Chester and Wrexham areas.
Buckles’ Chief Executive Nigel Speirs said “The acquisition of the client bank of Phillip’s business will strengthen our position in the IFA market and also offer Phillip’s clients access to our expertise.”
Buckles is Wales’ largest IFA according to trade magazine, Financial Adviser.
Established in 1973, Buckles provides independent financial advice to over 20,000 clients, through a national network of advisers. It currently has over £300 million pounds under management. Buckles operates a successful graduate recruitment scheme. Some seven graduates have joined and attained the highest industry qualifications, since the scheme started in 2001.
