Buckles Appoints New Group Finance Director

16th February 2006

Rhyl-based Buckles Holdings, the largest independent financial adviser in Wales, has appointed Clare Dyer as Group Finance Director with effect from the beginning of February.

Clare, aged 41, joins from AIM-listed travel promotions company, Landround plc, which has its headquarters in Chester, where she held a similar position. A fellow of the Association of Certified Accountants and experienced auditor, she was practice manager at leading accountants Baker Tilly before joining Landround in 1999.

Originally educated in Minehead, Somerset, Clare’s interests include skiing, reading and building her own home. She lives in Buckley, Flintshire, with her partner and five year old son.

Nigel Speirs, the Chief Executive of Buckles, said: “Our business has both grown and evolved dramatically over the past two years and we recognise the importance of keeping pace with this rapid rate of change at the highest level of financial management. Clare, with all her experience and knowledge, is a vital appointment for us and will ensure that we have the right person in place to help take Buckles through its next phase of development”.
